I notice a complete disconnect in covid policy - patients that have recent hospital visits and were treated for various ailments but were not given covid test are screened by ems as "screen positive" during subsequent EMS calls.
@ user, I’m guessing it was for a 2 month old boy who was VSA. The police shut down Wellington and commissioner rd intersection for the ambulance to get by.
Has the Cuddy fire been reported in the MSM/corporate media? I've done some quick searches, can't find anything. Has the Waste Management fire on exeter road a week or two ago been reported on?
About 8 London police cars have over the past 5 minutes come from east and west on commissioners and turned north onto topping lane, heading into Berkshire.
@ dreamybear, Im using my phone so its the samsung internet browser but even on my laptop when i do that it wont play :/ not sure if its just actually dead when im on or what
Was there a water incident today in Byron? Saw 2 cop cars and a fire car towing a zodiac heading west. Also a white unmarked police suburban (didn't know they had that).
The Loss Prevention Officer was approached by the male suspect, who produced a knife and made threats towards him. The female suspect exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the concealed merchandise. Both of the suspects were located and arrested by London police without incident. Approximately $8000 worth of property was recovered.
@oantone6 - Maybe this is your police incident: A man and woman were arrested yesterday afternoon after a Loss Prevention Officer was threatened with a knife inside (Home Depot Fanshawe/Adelaide) at approximately 3 p.m. A woman selected and concealed items in a bag. The woman was in the company of a man.
Two questions, what happened at Oxford near Adelaide. There’s a large police presence at the superstore. Also, are the archives working or do I just not know how to work them?
@SumGuy Sometimes it's hard to understand the reasoning behind the actions but I imagine there are other factors in play that we don't understand or know about. We have to trust that the experts know the best protocols to follow!
83 female, no symptoms of anything except sore throat for past few days. Calls doctor, doctor says to call ambulance to get covid test at emerg dept. Tell me how stupid that is? Why can't at least EMS give her covid test at home and take sample to where-ever for testing? Why truck her all the way to emerge for test?
The only aircraft that left YXU last night was the Beechcraft. I was wondering why an Orng helicopter wouldn't have been used directly from Vic to downtown Toronto hospital. It would have easily saved an hour in travel time.
Last night I was hearing that the OPP (why the OPP?) was transporting a couple of doctors and a heart from Vic at 22:30 to the airport. I was checking flights but didn't see anything. I see now that a private charter (Beechcraft King Air 90) took off at 23:45 and landed at Toronto Pierson.
You can't sue for punative damages in Ontario. Multi-million dollar awards are seen frequently in the US, very rare in Canada for medical or EMS mal practice (or anything).
(a) this is not the USA (very different lawsuit/legal situation), (b) overwhelming % of patients are MH/HBD or otherwise indigent (no financial ability to sue), (c) I'm sure they have tape recording of all calls and can get all timing info from them.
EMS is very focused on documenting time. Time in transit, time in contact with patient, time for every aspect of a call, to the minute. Is their pay split up into different rates that would necessitate this insane level of record-keeping?
Also, an 18 or 19 girl was discovered to be missing from her house (I forget when this was, between 9 and 11 pm last night) it was out in the county, that triggered another ground search, I think they wanted to bring in the canine that was being used in parkhill.
There is a forested area in Parkhill where apparently youths go to cut themselves. A couple of opp officers were on foot in this area (one with canine) looking for some missing kids. They did come across an area where the cutting is done (there was some blood seen, and some bandages). They eventually called off the foot search, nobody found.
So just to be clear, they did not track him from stalker, they thought he got picked up and was gone. They got tip about someone on foot near the bridge.
