Last friday, @smarty was asking about police / swat on Adelaide north of oxford, around midnite. According to LexisNexis crime map, there was a business B&E at 2:47 am on the 15'th at 1100 block of Adelaide N, and a theft under $5k on the 200 block of Taylor at 7 pm. Neither of which would require 2 swat cars, so no idea what was going on or why it's not in Lexis.
A 30's woman is having emotional issues over a boyfriend - and an ambulance gets called for this?! Isin't this when you call your mom or your sister or BF?
@ jmceachnie, finding the transmission really broken lately on occassion, like a "speaker cutting out", thought it was on my end. LOL good to know it's not me?
To my knowledge, gravel pits are private property and because of the depth of the water and liability, the owners don't want people on them skating. That's why they're surrounded with No Trespassing signs
Just starting to listen tonight. Gravel pit and skating? Were they violating some crackpot covid rule, or was it that the ice isin't thick enough and gravel pits are deep?
@ Jake1283, there should only be about a 20 to 30 second delay...thats been my experience. sometimes the player repeats its self but other then that idk
My observation: the radio feed appears to be delayed someway or another. I was listening today (Jan 7) in the morning I heard the call out for the MVC at Bradley and Jackson. I read in the news today that that MVC occurred Jan 06 at 1pm. Confused me as I know the dispatcher often says the time for a call, any ideas?
Another OPP pursuit that is ordered to stop before it even begins. Second line and mohawk. They're not even allowed to follow at posted speed. They have to pull over and report milage and stew for a few minutes.
Elderly are being screened positive for covid b/c "increased number of falls" - doesn't matter if they have dimentia, doesn't matter if they have no pulmonary symptoms what so everl Stupid!
OPP finding 3 or 4 stolen vehicles, looks like outside on some property. The location was found because one of them was stolen last night, it had GPS tracking. No suspects around, I didn't catch where this was. Some or all are old pickup trucks, parts missing from some or most of them.
Car 1 said they’ll be using LINS 1 for communications at this scene - what is this? Does this scanner have access to this channel that they’re using on this scene?
They just said wonderland both directions will be closed at noon commish to springbank for unknown duration. This is going to suck for fabric land and other businesses in that strip. Won't even have access to starbucks / mattress parking lot. Only access to food basics plaza will be off commish - that will be a traffic mess.
The residents who lived next to that building were mad when the developer came one day and cut down all the trees in contravention to city rules. Then it sat for what - 5 years as a vacant lot? Now I bet that building is going to stay in it's current unfinished state for a year or two then maybe be knocked down?
I got home about 1/2 hour ago. On my way home I noticed that north-bound Wonderland was blocked at Commish (right in front of starbucks). A cop was there, with a wood-horse roadblock. I see lights further down wonderland and figure there was a car accident. I get home and find out the building under construction at teeple terace collapsed.
Every so often the recording software garbles it like that and I have to restart it. Of course it happens when a major event is happening. I do apologize to all.
@ London-Dad, Hi why is audio volume none existence on today's event 11:26 plus times on EMS, Fire, OPP archive. The Fire only archive has perfect volume. Just asking. Hope life is treating you well. Take Care.
Do OPP have the ability to perform their own queries (on plates or people) from their patrol cars (vs a radio request to dispatch)? It really doesn't sound like they have that ability. Anyone know?
I've been having the play button issue as well on all my browsers even edge, I tried everything suggested. I sent in a report ticket asking if something was up with the scanner and all I got was a really rude "Google it." It won't work on edge or any browser for me so if anyone else figured it out drop the answer haha cause all other buttons work for me as well except play scanner
Man stuck in elevator, Fiddler's green. Fire called. Man has screened negative for covid. I'm sure it's important and will affect how the firemen get the elevator working to know the man has screen negative for covid...
@ nickatnight1971, I am experiencing the exact same thing. I've tried everything that I can think of. I have to ask, have you recently done an update on your phone? It seems to me that after my phone updated was when I started having this issue. If not, it must be something else, I guess..
2 transport trucks on fire, oxford and clarke - prax air. I believe that fire crew had to use sawzall to cut locks or gate to get into the complex. They are attempting to contact a key-holder now.
Someone in a white nissan is parked on side of 402, talking with MH worker on phone, is threatening to "roll" his vehicle in suicide attempt, opp responding. The benefits of the covid lockdown continue...
Ok, they did stop a garbage truck. The stolen property - is a trailer? What kind of trailer can fit in garbage truck? They're trying to get the trailer plate to confirm they have it.
The only hope now is that US customs will identify the truck, stop and search it. By all accounts they should know what they're looking for. It's on their doorstep now.
Truck is now on the blue water bridge. They didn't / couldn't stop it. Tried furiously to exchange emails / photos with CBSA, looks like they couldn't coordinate in time.
GPS tracking indicates the truck is at point edward, suspected garbage hauler, heading for the US now, slowing down at border lineup, stationary for a couple minutes now.
Ok, so the story is that there is or was stolen property in a tractor-trailer, and then was transfered to a garbage hauler. Both types of trucks were seen on during this episode this morning. So no truck was stolen from the MTO station but GPS tracking was indicating the truck was there or had left there. I'm still not sure what the stolen propert is, possibly a car?
Hillarious. They thought it was exiting on Longwoods, one cop followed and is stopping a truck that exited, then they're told the truck did not exit. Lambton OPP will be dealing with this now.
This is confusing. They might have stopped the wrong truck. Still tracking a "trailer inside a trailer" ? West of Cariage road on 402. It's a shell game! They know it's moving, and where, but don't have a description of the truck carrying it!
