LFD is fighting some small fires in a wooded area near the daycare behind Saunders Highschool. I don't know if this is the large wooded area on the north side of Viscount or somewhere on the south side. It sounds like these are minor spot fires, but it's unsettling knowing they were probably (I think) intentionally set.

Regarding that Chinook helicopter - the same or similar helicopter was also spotted over the Riverside area in Windsor last week. That would have put it relatively close to the Detroit river / US airspace.

I just drove by Dingmam The road is open, but there are lots of vehicles parked on either side of the road, maybe even a tent set up. They must have found a body there.

A large twin-rotor helicopter flew over london around 7 pm. Heading from the south-west over westmount towards YXU. No idea if it landed there or continued further to the north/north-east. If it wasn't a Chinook, then I don't know what it was. It wasn't visible on flight-tracker websites.

There's something going on, involving 3 LFD so far, "see your printout" so it's a mystery mission. Police involved, lots of staging. Must be someone either baracade or thretening suicide. Rideout and King? A person is in custody, LFD is clearing.

OPP is following a vehicle on the 401 with plates stolen out of toronto a few days ago. Currently I think east bound near ridgetown (just this side of chatham). The vehicle doesn't know it's being followed, I think they're setting up to spike it. They lit it up and I guess it did pull over.

The woman could not make it back up the bank. She called for help herself. I imagine they were afraid she would slide into the cold river, and that is why so many emergency vehicles responded.

It sounds like half the fire trucks in London are at commish rd west, west of boler, along the river at reynolds rd for some reason, someone went into the water there? Using ropes along the river bank? A female has been located by LPD on the embankment, Byron river estates. No indication from radio chatter why she's there (I didn't hear the initial dispatch calls) This was a tech rescue call, female is ok, all LFD is clearing, no EMS required. What a lot of commotion over nothing it seems.

Just before 7 p.m. there was a hit and run at the intersection of John Wise Line and Quaker Road. OPP found an injured 24-year-old motorcyclist. The second vehicle was a newer model dark coloured Ford SUV with a missing rear window was not on scene.

Guy in his car on richmond row stopped at train tracks gets stabbed by some guy that opens his door and gets into his car. Happened 2:30 pm yesterday. What a wonderful city this is becoming.

@ London-Dad, Bell for me. Geez, haven't had anything like this lengthy "timing out" in the 10yrs I've been on here.

well, it's been about 12 days since Ive been able to get the scanner (3 different browsers, and yes all settings checked- anyone else still having issues? I'm out of ideas, anyone figured out what the cause or repair is?

Bright flash was seen near highland country club around 8:45 pm. This would be the center of the current outage area.

Hydro outage from Beachwood to Pond mills, north side of commish to almost the river. I think street lights will be out, probably traffic lights too. hydro out along wharncliffe south of commish, about a block on either side from commish to southdale.

Several areas along Commish from wharncliffe to wellington have no power. Fire responding to reports of a pole on fire on baseline?

For those of you saying the scanner isn't working, have you tried using the Firefox browser? That's the only one I can get it to work on.
