Working Fire on Ponderossa. Crews were fighting a fire in the basement, when they were evacuated by Car 1 CMD due to fire on the 1st floor. All crews evacuated the basement, now fighting fire on main floor.

Thanks for posting. It was an exhilarating call, especially when they were in the basement and flames on the first floor and command demanding them to get out of the basement.

Did anyone catch the details of the major accident tonight?

the chase continues, he turned around about five minutes from the border at queenston and is now heading back towards toronto. Apparently CNN has picked up a live feed or you can watch it here; Login or Register for the link

Anyone know if there is a radio reference feed available that is tracking this chase? I heard the info from Middlesex when he was heading toward Woodstock - London...but wonder if there's a feed that has the broadcasts...

that was pretty weird. i heard the radio station making fun of this chase. called it OJ light and also a typical canadian police chase. driver using signals, driving the speed limit. it was kind of funny. i am sure glad it finally ended and no one got hurt. i also wonder where the lumber went?

It will for sure be interesting to find out what the motivation was behind the vehicle theft. The "slow" chase was due to the fact that the tractor had a governor on it, and the speed was regulated. Even the OPP spokesperson said it wasn't a pursuit, but simply a safety issue. I have heard on the scanner of pursuits in Ontario, and in the news, so Canada does in fact have "chases". ;) The fact that this wasn't about high speeds suggests another motive, which as mentioned will be interesting to learn if and when those details are made public.
