Engine 14?Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this. I`ve been listening to the scanner and haven`t ever heard a call for engine 14. Is this just and engine covering at a different company or is there a new station that hasn`t officially opened yet?
Re: Engine 14?Fire Station No. 14 in the Hyde Park Rd. / Fanshawe Park Rd. area of northwest London is scheduled to be in operations sometime early April.

Re: Engine 14?Ohhhhh. Good to know. Thanks!
Fire/Ems Station No. 14The new combination FIRE/EMS Station 14 Is located on east side of Hyde Park Road just NORTH of Fanshawe Road. It will house house ambulance in front section of building with fire at rear. I understand it is real close to completion...too bad it wasn`t open last weekend with the big fire at London Door and Trim ( Fanshawe & Hyde Park Rd. area).
Re: Engine 14?I believe that Station 14 is open now. I heard station 14 dispatched to a residential fire this past Wednesday or Thursday.
Re: Engine 14?I took a drive to 14 Co. over the weekend. Looks like a nice building. I am rather glad they have an engine at that area of town, considering how long it's been since development of that area has boomed.

Re: Engine 14?I've noticed a couple more changes listening in recently as well. It seems like Rescue 2 has moved over to Station 1 and switched with Truck 1, now at Station 2. As well, I'm not sure if they`ve added another truck or just moved one from somewhere else in the city but Station 6 is running an engine and a truck now as opposed to a rescue and an engine.
Additional Engine 14 InfoAs I understand it RESCUE 2 has moved to CENTRAL Station as RESCUE 1. TRUCK 1 has moved to No. 2 station as TRUCK 2. RESCUE 6 has been disolved and is now ENGINE 6. Existing Engine 6 crew has been moved to man ENGINE 14. TRUCK 7 has been moved across city to be TRUCK 6. Possibly other changes were made but not sure yet. Stay Tuned.
Re: Engine 14?Really? Truck 7 has moved across the city? That leaves the east end without a truck nearby...2 Co would be the closest now??

Re: Engine 14?There's also a 75' quint at 5 company that seems to respond to a lot of calls in the marconi/bonaventure area. As well, I'm not sure what the exact plans are but I know they were planning on building a new station somewhere in the area of commissioners and hamilton road which would also be equiped with a quint.
Re: Engine 14?The following is a list of all changes to the fire dept units in the city of london
Truck 1 is now Truck 2 Rescue 2 is now Rescue 1 Truck 7 is now Truck 6 the 75ft Quint that was Engine 6 is now Engine 13 adding a ladder to that area of town since truck 7 has moved other plans are Fire Station No. 15 is planned for southeast London in 2014. The proposed location is on Hamilton Rd. between Commissioners Rd. and Clarke Rd. This station would be equipped with a quint Station 7 is to be relocated i am not sure where the site for the new station 7 is going to be but once built and opened Truck 2 will move to Station 7 and become Truck 7 Proposals call for the relocation of Station No. 11 to a site in Lambeth in 2013. A new 2500 gallon tanker has been ordered from Carl Thibault. It will replace one of the 1993 International / E-One tanker I hope this helps all you in reguards to understanding the new setup for the units within the LFD
Re:Changes at London Fire Dept.I was wondering if above poster has any info on the Radio System at LFD being changed again as the Edacs system is being discontinued by Thames Communications. Anyway I wish they would get a new alert signal as the one they use now sounds like it came out of a cracker jack box.
Re: Engine 14?as of right now i have no info on the raido system but i will see if i can get some info about that.
Re: Engine 14?just a heads up to everyone the fire dept just replaced Car 2 same type of pickup but brand new 2011 it went into services today.
Re: Engine 14?They need radio in their masks.
Re: Engine 14?What might p25 radio system be?
Re: Engine 14?True east end has no ladder truck. And so many highrisesThat does put time pressure on truck 2.
Re: Engine 14?Sandalls ,yes and with all those mornington and fanshawe highrises!!??.And truck2 being the closest,im surprised lfd made that choice.
P25 Radio System for LFDSupposedly LFD will switch to this type of system as EDACS system is becoming obsolete. I believe P25 system is a digital system instead of analog, so a digital trunking type scanner will be required. You will see it in this forum when any change occurs
