What happened at or near Grahm (sp?) road and a highway (401 or 402?) OPP dealing with some sort of shutdown for a while now. 401 traffic maps show a problem in West Lorne.

4 LPD cars (3 marked, one not) heading east on commish (just west of Wonderland, so they came from byron) high speed, about 5 minutes ago (2:05 pm).

Is there a way to tell the time of each archived fire? I’m looking for around 8:30-845am yesterday (Oct 22) I can tell the date but hard time making out of each archive has the time in the title. Any help much appreciated. Thanks!

People say that fire arrives on scene faster than EMS but I regularly hear the call go to fire first, a good minute before EMS gets the call. So fire usually gets a head start.

In the US, does fire also get called for "unconcious" (but really sleeping) homeless people seen during the morning commute?

I'm wondering why fire would be called to an unconcious (not VSA) in a nursing home. What can fire do in that situation? Give oxygen - and nursing home staff can'd to that? EMS is also naturally called and presumably would be there in minutes so again what can fire do there in that situation?

@ SumGuy, Generally the municipality decides on responses and tiered response agreements between services. Fire is guided by insurance policies and NFPA standards in the states (ie x# of personnel and apparatus to a fire within x# of minutes).

What body, group or organization determines what emergency service is deployed for any given 911 call (In Ontario)? I'm looking for who creates or the "SOP" (standard operating procedure) for deploying emergency services for 911 calls. Would this be a federal, provincial or municipal responsibility? Is there enabling legislation for this?

Surprising that EMS is calling LPS to break down appt door for unresponsive patient instead of LFD. I always get the sense that LPD is the most tardy or unavailable of the services compared to fire.

OPP doing a vehicle take down, sounds like collision, dogs in suspect car. Government rd, Grand Bend. Car had Mich plates, 2 or 3 (large) dogs, female driver on coke, 2 OPP cruisers damaged.

Heard ambulance say they are staged at entrance waiting for police to give go ahead “someone shot in the air” not sure if that was related. I didn’t hear a gun shot
