The 10-88 code was broadcast by Thorndale fire dispatch - not OPP. Fire deptartments obviously have their own 10 codes, rarely used, and not necessarily matching police or ems.

Thorndale fire dispatch is sending a crew to a property on Nissouri rd (north of Elliot trail) for a "possible 10-88". The property seems to be just a house. I can find no information as to what a 10-88 is. I think they are dealing with CO (carbon monoxide) and some mention of fire fighters wearing masks. Alright - attempted suicide (running a lawnmower in a shed). Guy sounds like he's going to be ok.

I've finally found a single story on CTV London about this accident. There was no pickup truck involved. A section of Dundonald rd north of Glencoe washed out, and the tractor of a tractor-trainler went into the washout, the driver died. Lots of confusion about this at the time, some thought it was a pickup truck in the washout. BTW, what is a TOR?

A road collaped in or near glencoe, a pickup truck went into the collapsed area, a tractor trailer ran over the pickup. Driver of the pickup truck is breathing but FD can't extricate. Several heavy tow companies called in, doing what they can to get there.

I thought the initial radio reports mentioned 4 vehicles, but I know now that only 2 were involved. Apparently one ended up on top of a natural gas line or valve. I also thought there was suspicion of DUI involved.

Radio interference on EMS dispatch channel started just after 9 AM. They think someone has open mic, sounds more like radio malfunction. We're not going to hear anything on london scanner unil they find and shut down the radio transmitting this noise.

A suspect was arrested in Brussels after a lengthy standoff with OPP on Turnberry Street between Queen Street and CP Road. The road was closed Saturday afternoon and police have asked that motorists and residents avoid the area. OPP arrived before noon. A tactical unit arrived around 2 pm, drawing their weapons and pointing them at a home. A few minutes later a suspect exited the home and was arrested.

Who are the OPP dealing with - and where? Theres a guy somewhere in some situation that they're pretty sure has a gun and could flee in a car and they're talking about gun-point arrest or taking him down if necessary.

I've just heard EMS displatch a crew to a nursing home, and they're having a covid outbreak. Ya know, you just have to give these vaccines some time to work, maybe a few more doses and we'll flatten the curve! I understand that they were getting breakthrough polio back in the day, until about the 8'th booster.

I've only ever heard fire broadcast the triple mayday, and then only during some sort of training. I've never heard them say SPO, but I have heard FPO (Fire Prevention Officer or Office). No idea what 23 or 25 could be.

LFD is heading to a house on Silverdale Cres (near pond mills and commish). Residents think the house was hit by lightning, smell burning plastic. I hope this one gets handled better than the last house that burned down. You only know if the house is ok after 12 hours and nothing is burning.

EMS is no longer reporting patient covid screening during calls. Don't know exactly when this happened, probably a few weeks or a month or two ago.

On Sunday 7:30 AM a 23 yo guy entered a home on Ed Ervasti Lane (River Bend) while the occupants are asleep. He "removed" (not stole?) items and fled. An hour later he drives his car to the rear of a property on Little Grey Street, has an altercation and drives the car through a fence at the rear of the property. Then, an hour later, he drives through a 4-way stop at Kain’s and Shore roads (we're back in River Bend). He reversed into someone's car and then through a closed gate. Where does he go? Back to Little Grey st. At 10:40 am police finally stop his car and he's arrested.

On Monday July 17 at 2:50 am, security staff at a downtown business observed a 28 yo man throwing rocks at windows of a building in the 400-block of Talbot Street. The building sustained damage, police were called and and located a number of other damaged windows in the area. Video surveillance helped locate the man in the 100-block of Carling Street. He struggled and was in possession of a rock when arrested.

On July 14 at 9 pm a 19 yo man damaged a number of vehicles in the 1500-block of Adelaide Street North. He then entered a convenience store and assaulted two staff members with items from inside the store. Police arrived and attempted to place him under arrest, he resisted and assaulted two police officers then proceeded to remove money from the cash register. Additional officers attended and he was arrested. Two police officers sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Large chemical spill at a company called Diversey on Green Valley road, building being evacuated. This company might have been known as Sealed Air in the past. The spilled chemical is known as "Pascal" - a low foaming, heavy duty, non-fuming nitric acid based descaler for use in a wide range of CIP applications in the food and beverage industry. Pascal is highly effective at removing inorganic scale deposits, including calcium oxalate (beerstone)

EMS is giving the details of something really important (like MVA). The crew comes back and asks dispatch to repeat the location. Dispatch starts to repeat the location, but THEN another crew quickly jumps in, KNOWING THEY'RE INTERRUPTING, to blurt out some totally non-important info (usually 10-7). This can wait, but they don't wait. They interrupt the dispatcher from giving out some really important info so they can insert their practically useless info. Why do they do this?

If anyone remembers hearing a loud lightning crack at 5:45 pm, it was lightning hitting a house on guiidford crescent. LFD initially responded but didn't find any fire so they left. A fire got going in the attic and they had to come back. They're just cleaning up and leaving now.

401 eastbound just east of Chatham is closed - I think because of single vehicle accident that took out some of the center guard rails or cables, minor to no injury it sounds like.
