The LFD just moved over to the same system as the LPS. They however will not be encrypting their channels. As far as EMS, they would have to buy all new radios so I doubt that will happen. If they ever do block us out, we will start an online petition.

Hey London Dad, guess what?? Starting late 2012/2013 apparently we will no longer be receiving Fire or EMS. They are all integrating into the same system LPD uses now.. digital where frequencies are jammed. They were already supposed to have transitioned to this over a year ago but it never happened. Now all 3 services will be able to interlink in a disaster

Good Morning London Dad, just rebooted my puter this morning and within seconds OPP sprang to life, followed by Fire. Obviously today is a new day and the scanner is back working great. And now there's an EMS call too. Woohoo!!

I'd rather you guys listen here then there. Like I said, I feed off the same computer here and on RR. If it goes done here it will on RR so there is no difference.

London Dad, can you re boot your system and see if it clears everything and allows for OPP calls as well? Seems there is a partial feed loss??

we are absolutely not receiving most calls... a friend of mine works for Thames EMS and stopped by and they received a Code 4 while he was here.. nada on scanner though

i havent notice many either... engine 1 just said EMS is on scene with them but i didn't hear the call for EMS

hey London Dad, don't know what you did to fix the problems on here yesterday but it seems to have cured the issues I kept having where the scanner would only run a short time before having to be restarted.. Thanks and have a great weekend!!
